Overview
This is Auro’s lime based breathable white anti mould paint. Excellent for areas where mould can be an issue such as in bathrooms, around windows, and anywhere where conditions allow mould to grow. It is made entirely from natural ingredients that come from renewable mineral sources. It is VOC free and water thinnable. Unlike most conventional paints, this anti mould paint is fully compostable, contains no harmful ingredients or plastics and does not release any harmful compounds into the atmosphere once applied. This product is suitable for Vegans.
Where to use it:
Auro Anti-Mould Paint 327 is a highly breathable white, matt finish paint made entirely from natural ingredients. Unlike most conventional paints, it does not contain any harmful ingredients or plastics. It is especially suited for areas where mould and mildew can be an issue, making it a perfect anti mould bathroom paint. Around windows and areas of high moisture are also especially suited.
What it does:
This Auro anti mould paint has a high pH, and this is an unfavourable growth condition for mould. It prevents mould growth on walls in areas where mould and mildew growth can be common. (Bathrooms with poor ventilation and around windows are primary areas of mould growth.) It produces a slightly textured finish to the walls.

How it works
The lime-based white anti mould paint has excellent coverage of 10m2 per litre and is very easy to apply by brush, roller or by spraying. It is re-coatable after 24 hours.
All ingredients are fully declared in the data sheet and on the tin. It does not contain any oils so will not yellow and emits very little odour during the drying process. It is VOC free.
This product is a vegan friendly paint and is fully compostable. Any unused paint can be safely disposed of in a compost bin.

Questions
Can this be used on lime plaster walls?
Yes this paint is really breathable (sd value 0.05) so it is suitable for lime plaster. It can also be used on most common plasters too.

Find an installer
If there is existing mould or mildew, we recommend it to be pre-treated with Auro Mould Eliminator 412 and Auro Mould Stop 413 for best results.
To paint on newly plastered walls, please thin the first coat of paint by adding max 20% water. Another option, best suited for highly absorbent surfaces like gypsum, is to use Auro plaster Primer 301
The following coat should be applied unthinned after 24 hours. Generally 1 – 2 coats are sufficient.
Hints and Tips
Pre-treatment is strongly recommended by using the Auro Mould Eliminator 412 and Auro Mould Stop 413.
The Auro Anti-Mould 327 Paint is quite transparent during application and only gets its true colour when drying.
Open a window when using the shower or bath to allow for ventilation, this will help moisture escape and will help prevent unwanted mould growth.
